Six Apart, which hosts my blog [and millions of others]
has announced a partnership with Bokee, the leading provider of blogging services in China. Under terms of the deal, Bokee will distribute and localize Movable Type to businesses and educational institutions in China.
Six Apart, after some bad press earlier in the year, is on a bit of a roll now with expansion into China and a big Series X round. I won't pretend to know how meaningful this deal will ultimately be for either side, but it's noteworthy and of particular interest to me, as I'm a Movable Type user and an indirect investor in Bokee via my fund's investment in Granite Global Ventures.
Note: At the time of this writing I, and/or funds I maintain discretionary control over, maintained an indirect investment in Bokee via our limited partnership interest in Granite Global Ventures.
