I don't generally blog about the PC hardware vendors, but today's story in the New York Times warranted a quick comment:
Seriously? Are we forgetting the entire Gateway Country debacle? I realize with Dell's stock trading near 5-year lows the company is willing to throw some trial balloons out in a lot of different directions, but there's something apocalyptic about Dell, one of the greatest examples of an Internet delivery model, toying with the idea of going bricks and mortar.
Note: At the time of this writing I, and/or funds I maintain discretionary control over, did not maintain an equity position (long or short) in DELL.
but maybe after years of rotten service and 25 basis points of R&D, it's time for us to short?
