While I'm an investor by trade, I don't consider myself an investment-focused blogger; I'm much more focused on technology trends and analysis. Sometimes, inevitably, the implications of a given stock come into play simply because that's the lens I often see things through, but that's beside the point.
As you might expect, there are a ton of great investment-focused blogs (where the writers are actively giving you trading advice); and I read a many of them. Inarguably, the 800-pound gorilla of the investment-focused blog world is Seeking Alpha.
Founded a few years ago by former Morgan Stanley analyst David Jackson, it's now grown into a massive consortium of investor-focused blogs; ranging from ETFs to Utilities to China to Semiconductors and everything in between. They have dozens of contributors (many are active investors and traders) and push out a TON of content daily.
Like many of you, I subscribe to Seeking Alpha via my feed reader, and frankly, it can be overkill. The SA guys have always made it easy to subscribe to specific blogs on their network, but today they've added a new layer which is sure to appeal to the majority of investors who aren't yet comfortable with blogging and feed readers...
Seeking Alpha introduces personalized email subscription service:
Today we’re launching a free email subscription service that allows you to get full articles from Seeking Alpha emailed to your Blackberry or desktop email.
You can subscribe to new articles by sector, by theme or by stock ticker, and update your choices or unsubscribe at any time. We won’t sell your email address to anyone and we don’t spam, and there’s an easy unsubscribe link in every email.
The coolest feature is the ability to monitor specific stocks (via ticker symbol); which I can see being immeasurably helpful and a real time saver versus the current process of reading through the 50-100 SA posts that come into my reader each day. And it looks like Jackson and his conglomerate aren't done yet:
For readers who prefer RSS to email, we’re working on a personalized RSS feed that allows you to define exactly what you want to get via a single RSS feed.
Keep up the good work guys, and thanks!

I was introduced to your blog for the first time today and enjoyed reading. I recently put my 12 year career as a software architect on hold to try trading for a living. I've been doing quite well at it for 8 months now. Looks like I'll be placing your blog on my read list. I was introduced to it by accident when I saw you add my Digg feedflare service to your feed. Thanks for using the service and let me know if you have any problems or suggestions.
